Default New grille

I'm thinking of buying a new grille for my ride. So i've found the one which appeals to me the most.

What do you guys think of this grille for my silver SLK? I think it would turn my car better looking

The grill is the same style on all SLK170s...the 32 has the same honeycomb style as your 200.

Some guys on another forum have installed the grill you are asking about and the fit is very good but some have reported weak brakets...but they got theirs on a group-purchase from an ebay seller...1/3 the price and looks like the same grill to me.

Wow, that was cheap, but it looks like he only sends to customers from USA...I'll search the web further for cheaper alternatives

I got one of these . . .

for my R170 from formymercedes.com - shipped to the UK no problem. It looked good on my black SLK.

BTW, if anyone wants an original R170 grille in excellent condition (complete with star), make me an offer

He does ship worldwide, doesn't say how much but shouldn't be too expensive as it's only light. There is a black version with chrome strips that looks good with silver, although a few owners have bought the silver version and said the colour of the grille is a good match for the car and looks good too.

Formymercedes seem to be out of stock of this style grille at the moment, may be worth asking when they will be getting more in.

You can open a aramex account which provides you a pobox in new york and london, when I purchased my kleemann catalytic converters I shipped it through the aramex account and it came to Kuwait within 10 days in which the shipping only costed $50 and it was placed on my doorstep.

That's actually the piccy from the formymercedes.com website - The only pictures of mine are on an old(ish) disc drive which I haven't archived yet.

I'm going for the silver one. have seen a couple of pictures, and it looks beautiful with the silver color of the car.

I sent a mail to formymercedes, and they could tell me that they didn't take the grille back in stock as long as the dollar is so weak. He recommended me the site http://www.x-t-c.com

As long as the dollar is so weak and the norwegian kroner is so strong, I will make a bargain by buing parts from USA anyway

I would have checked out the grille on Ebay, but unfortenatly I'll have to wait for my paycheck. Think I'm going to buy some more juicy stuff for my ride too

Black background with chrome highlights and the silver star looks really good, more traditional.

The grill in the photo you've supplied in the last post reminds me of the grille on the r129 sl.
