wtb 230 SL phone

Just purchased a 1999 SLK 230, and on the radio it says telephone. I don't have one. Are those phones outdated. and if they are can a my 230SLK be activated to accept a new cell phone so I can hear audio through radio speakers? Any info would be appreciated!! thanks, new member and owner, Greg

Did you look in the armrest for the phone connector?

just looked and there is nothing inside.This vehicle was originally a lease 230SLK. and it is pretty much stripped.
