| ae98, I think the most important thing is that you like them. They also make the car look different and stand out. |

| While i agree its important you like them and like bazzle i try very hard not to offend others but personally i think they look tacky i guess they are for a more SL like effect and in fact i think we had a thread about them but they don't give it the right look at all. It looks a million times better without

| You, sir ae98, are quite brave indeed. I have seen these before and did not like the way they looked on the car...but again to each his/her own. Beauty is in the eyes of the beerholder - so break out a cold one and ignore my opinion. |

| As others have stated, it's a different look. If you like them, that's what is important. I'm sure you can remove them in minutes. Consider yourself a R170 pioneer.

| I have seen these after market eye lids on sale, suppose it is to try and make the car look like it has twin lights but in my opinion it doesnt work and is a tacky looking mod with detracts from the look of the car. I know where you are coming from though, the headlamps on the SLK make the front look dated, it would be good to see some decent headlamp modifications out there., the only headlight mod i have seen so far which looked sick was the R171 headlamp conversion, looked like a lot of work though. |
