Easy Ipod to radio connection

I bought a Cassette that pops into the tape player and has a cord that comes from the cassette to the Ipod which runs the Ipod music thru the stereo. Whew!

It sounds Great!

Interesting thing is that I get much clearer, crisper sound, which I expected, but I also get twice the volume too!

Man does the sound system in the car ROCK!

I can crank it all the way with the top down going 70mph and it sounds ok but with this... it blows me away at those speeds.

There is "zero" distortion at high volumes and the sub bass is "Kicking".

Now it sounds like what I would expect a Bose system to sound like. AWESOME!

I assume you are comparing that sound to when you have the iPod plugged into the Aux in the glove box? If so, I think I have read that there is some sort of leveling by default on the iPod and you need to turn that off. Unfortunately I can't tell you how to do that, but I think if you search this and other forums you will find someone who describes how to make the iPod sound better and have higher volume through the Aux port.

If you aren't doing that comparison... Never mind

AUX port?

News to me. I will check later today when I get out to my car.

No way do I want to level it. LOL I have great sound and booming volume as it is now.

My son has one of those "shake the neighborhood" systems in his car and he is impressed with the difference in my radio now.

He says it is as if I turned on an amp.

I'm loving it!

No AUX port in the glovebox on an R170, just the R171's...

Brent, I did the same thing, but opened the cassette deck and ran the wire out the back and through the center console to the sliding door compartment where the cig lighter is. Everythings out of sight. And you're right, the bass KICKS!
