I've not, but I think there is a short antenna at the SLKWorld store that has been tested and talked about here on the forum.

Big NO. I bought one like that for my Mazda6 several years ago and I didn't like the look. Definitely wouldn't put that on my SLK 55 regardless of price. Go with the flow and proven consensus provided by this forum. The modified R170 is the second best looking, but best performing antenna for the SLK. Available through the SLKWorld Store.

Don't waste your time. Purchase the short "FIXED" antenna from this site. It works great and looks good also !

I just got my short antenna from germany,
I ordered it from e bay (germany) I got it within 10 days!

It looks PERFECT - Original German made.

also- 5 year warranty

I'd reccomend it - it works perfect - am and fm, no difference at all,compared to the original long one!
