| The only thing that no one has said is !!! Do you remove the dense foam inside the speaker holes, after you have taken off the blanking plates,To fit the new speakers ? or do you leave it there ? That is saying, you had not got the premium sound system fitted to yuor car start with (bose). Because some cars left the factory with only the front door speakers fitted, and no rear speakers. I hope this makes sence |

| being i used to be in the business a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.. my thoughts were... 1 relocate all the modules under the passinger floorboards fill a garbage bag with spray foam insulation, put it there, replace the over carpet, let harden. use the hardened mass as an enclosure mold for a fiberglass woofer enclosure, fill a bucket with water put the bag in and calculate the displaced water to get the cubic foot volume, find a nice woofer that meets the spec, like I think the old kicker solobarik 8 inch speakers would work. 2 remove all modules under seats and do the same. 3 both. remove the glove box inner if u don't use it and put in a small sealed 6"speaker box. you prob won't get ground shaking bass, but it will be better, and not disrupt the interior. |

| I've pretty much done this. http://www.slkworld.com/general-modi...ind-seats.html No issues with the A/C unit and the flip-up. I keep my a/c vents pointed up when the unit is open and still get enough cool into the cabin so.....for my needs...."It's all good"...!!!!

| WhY place mid range speakers behind the seats?? This messes with the sound imaging! 1. Mid range up front door card level. 2. Tweeters by rear veiw mirrors. 3. Bass BEHIND seats, or in my case one of these fitted between the seats at shoulder height http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/alpin...er-p-1075.html |
