Default 3 weekas old and i've got a dent!!!!

I've got a dent in the bonnet of my little SLK!!! aaarrrrggghhh. Basically as funny as it may sound a walnut fell on my car and has dented it (my own fault for parking under a walnut tree...not the i knew it was a walnut tree until it was too late!) Can anyone advise how i may be able to get this removed??? so annoying!

not sure about mainland UK but over here we have a guy called dentmaster. as long as the paint isn't scratched, he can take the dent out by heating the area and pushing the dent out. look in the yellow pages and im sure you will find someone along this line. plus it's only something like 50 pounds per panel.

Yeah there are loads of people who can take care of it for you so long as the paint is intact.

Like N4PWJ says just check the yellow pages for paintless dent removal.

Well at least it was an inanimate object and not some a-hole being a...well...A-HOLE!

My wife and I went to a swap meet and parked the car out of the way where there weren't any cars parked yet. By the time we came back there were cars parked everywhere, understandably, and found some smarta$$ threw their chewed gum on the roof (It was about 90F out.). I thought "You sorry sack a sh!t." I know it wasn't permanent damage, but for Pete's sake! It's a good thing I didn't see who it was, I have a low tolerance for that kind of BS. People here are having less and less respect for others property.

Sorry to hear Oscy. As others have said, seek out a reputable paintless dent removal shop (preferably referred by trusted individuals). As far as parking, I do try to not park near or under a tree of lighting post (birds like lighting posts too).

BTW...sorry to hear of your dent. I know that sucks. I caught a rock off a truck coming down I15 in Vegas. It hit right at the leading edge of the grill/hood and left a small dent. I don't know if that's fixable, but I'll be getting my insurance company to repair all the chips and the pitted windshield...minus the $500 deductable of course.

Thanks for your advice guys, i will check out yellow pages and dentmaster and see if someone can come and fix it, the paint isnt damaged but it is not a totally round dent and sort of has a point to it at the bottom of the dent, so hopefully they will be able to sort that out too!

From what I've read in this and other forums, the dentmasters or the like, do a superb job -- almost like magic. You will be all smiles again.

OSCY if you are next in Southampton I can give you a name and tel of a chap who does the Mercs down here and many others. Charges from £40 to £60 depending how long it takes. Highly recommended. Takes between 20 and 30 minutes and he does it from his home if you wish. If he can't loose it he does not charge.

I found this on Wikipedia about crimbo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimbo

and this on Bo Selecta: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bo'_Selecta!

Probably a synonym for the Christmas holidays (urban slang).

Getting both dents taken out tomorrow £35 for both of them, and if i can still see either of them once he's finished he will not charge. Its through a company called Dingmaster, my MB dealership recommended them, will let you know if they are any good after tomorrow!!!

I was told once that if you get a dent from hail damage to put dry ice on it and the dent will pop out.

I have not tried it myself but others have told me it works.
