"ITG" brand air filters.

Recently picked up an airbox from an E55K, and it came with ITG air filters - anyone ever hear/have experience with these?

No, I use the Green filters. Have you tried googling the ITG company name to see if you could find who they were? It was probably purchased at an auto parts chain store. Is it just like a generic OEM paper filter, or is it smaller like the Green/H&K filters?

Frankly, I wouldn't use any filter other than the Green. I've read about some issues people had with oil on the K&N filters and know a lot of aftermarket filters will also be oiled. Not sure how true it is, but I played it safe and got the Green filters and am happy with them.

Yup did some research on 'em and found quite a bit of info over on MBWorld. Just another hi-flo aftermarket brand with it's proponents and naysayers in equal measure it seems.

I have Greens already, but they don't fit the E55K boxes snugly - that box is a couple mm longer it seems, so I'll stick with the ITG's that came with it I guess.

Bill, why the switch to the E55K airbox? just curious.

Hey Eddy...dyno proven for an extra ~10hp, or about the same as the Renntech box, at less than half the price.

Do the airbox just fit like OEM? Do you have to do any mods on the E55K airbox to make it fit?

Why not just stay with the Green Air Filters for 9 bhp? probably cheaper than the E55K airbox?

There's some trimming to be done to the E55 Y-pipe, but other than that, it's an easy fit. And that 10hp gain was on top of adding hi-flo filters, hope to have track test results in a couple weeks

Got it from VRP in Toronto for $Can 549, including the modified y-pipe and those hiflow filters (and stock paper ones too, all new parts BTW).
