Hi everybody, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jae and I just bought a new 08 SLK 280 last week. It has P1, heat package and appearance package. Love the car so far. My wife loves the car more than my old S2000. I bought the car from my local dealership right after the 08 incentives came out. There was a 5000 factory to dealer incentive with 1.9 financing here in the Chicagoland area. Ended up getting almost 8000 off the car. Would have liked to buy an 09, but the dealer was giving very little as far as discounts. Although I would have had a decent discount as this would have been my second car bought from them. Last November I bought an ML350. Anyway, It was 1 of 2 08's they had left, and the price was good so with my wife's permission, I bought it. Kind of a spur of the moment buy, but no regrets now. Jae

| Congratulations Jae ! I would most certainly recommend SmartTop roof module and modified R170 antenna.

I appreciate the welcome from everybody. Not much of a hands on person, but seeing all the things you can do for the SLK, I might try some things. Thanks again, Jae

Welcome to the forum Jae, and kudos on the big discount on your '08. You definately won't regret it, and with the 280 the only change for '09 was cosmetic since the engine didn't change at all, definately worth picking up an '08 if buying a 280. Enjoy the car and the ride!

Greetings from Singapore. My name is Jeff and I've been hanging around in this forum for some time already, benefiting from some of your answers to my earlier posts. Thought I introduce myself formally. I recently bought a pre-owned 06' SLK 350. Loving every minute I spend in it. ![]() Look forward to more interaction with you guys on this forum.
