| Tummy: Don't worry too much about having a major accident. I've been hauling dogs around in my cars for decades, and never had even a minor accident in the car. Here's why. Dogs instinctively do not relieve themselves in their "lairs" because the odor attracts predators. A dog will view a confined area such as a car interior as its "lair" and will do everything possible not to relieve itself there. On the other hand, a dog in a big house will not regard the whole house as its "lair" -- because it is just too big for the dog to think of it as a lair. That is why, when I leave my dogs in the house to run an errand or the like, I put them in the utility room and close the door. That room is small enough for a dog to think of it as its lair, but large enough for the dog to walk around a bit. If I go out for a couple of hours and leave the dogs lose in the house, I will often find "little gifts" they've left for me. Not so when they are closed up in the utility room. I suspect that the dog that "did the job" on the G 35 may well have been ill, and I hope its owner has the dog checked by a vet quickly. This is just not normal behavior for a healthy dog.
