| If you don't have COMAND then on the instrument cluster under settings is the place to make the change, on the cluster page if memory serves. If you do have COMAND its - SERV, System and you will then be given the right page

| Check pages 141 and 142 of 2008 Owner's manual. If you have COMAND and the Time synchronization with Head Unit is set to on, then the time can be changed by pressing the SERV on the COMAND. There will be a Time soft key to press. From there use the cursor control (looks like the same ones found in cell phones with a central OK button) on the COMAND to adjust the time. Time Synchronization is located under Settings menu, then Time/Date (scroll to this using the menu, +/-, up and down buttons on the steering wheel). If the Time Synchronization is set to Off. Then you can set the Time/Date using the steering wheel control buttons and looking at the MFD (multi-function display) at the instrument cluster. After setting the time, press R button located at the side of the instrument cluster, to confirm the time you have set at the MFD. The hour and minute hand on the clock will then move to the set time. The Date can be changed also using the +/- , up and down buttons on the steering wheel to go to until the message Set Date Month, Set Date Day, or Set Date Year appears in the multifunction display.

| It surprises me every time the clocks change that they didn't build automatic DST adjustment into COMAND. After all, it can and does work out when you move between time zones and sets the clock automatically (e.g. either side of the English channel). I suppose they figured they would get sued if the rules changed somewhere and someone was using an old DVD. However they could have built in manual and auto modes for that scenario. Also the changes are generally known years in advance so it would have been possible to make each DVD version work up to a specific future year, and then switch to manual mode after that. |

| In Canada, and I'm sure the US too, you need to manually change to DST. They did change it last year to start earlier and end later. There was not a huge up front warning when they first did it a lot of organizers/pocket PC's needed patches to work properly. |

| It's on the left side of the round plastic housing that has the speedometer. You have to look at it from the side (like from an open door). There's also a separate + and - button above the R button.

| Don't put yourself down. When I first got the 280 and was trying to set the clock, I wasn't even aware that one has to push the R button (didn't see/read it in the MFD), let alone know where it is. It took me more than one hour to figure it out after searching on-line forum and reading the owner's manual. One can download the owner's manual (pdf) from MBUSA, after you register on Owner's Online (using vehicle's VIN). There's Owner's Manual under My Quick Tools on the left-hand column.

| Yes I do. It changes itself when crossing the channel but never when the clocks change. |
