|  New to this site also.... Aloha all, I just got turned on to this site by "Cold Play" (Cheers brah  ). I appears to be a great place for learning about the SLK's since I'm new to the game.I've got a 2007 SLK-280 and love it. This is the 2nd Mercedes I've owned. I had a 1977 SL-450 a while back. It was OK, but I really like the SLK much better. Mercedes (as well as the rest of the auto community) has really improved on those late 70's vehicles At this point in time, my next one would be the SLK-55. Just want to improve on something that's already great. Gary |

| Welcome beachbum. Have you done some enjoyable mods? like varioroof module, mod R170 antenna, or Green Air Filters? (I presume Cold Play = ColdShot from Scottsdale, Az)

| Welcome to the forum and enjoy the stay, the 70-80's R107 SL's are great a relative has a 86 420SL that has been nothing than reliable since day 1.

| welcome aboard beachbum. we had an early '75 r107 280 sl fuel/right wheel/beige in the family in the late 70's  , gut i never got to drive this car, i was too young and then my dad just gave it away for some reason i never u/stood to get a bulky and very unsporting volvo  . this forum just loves photos, so pls take the time and post some... enjoy yr slk best ir-ops |

 | I introduced myself to Beachbum and his wife when I saw their beautiful and well cared for 280 roll into a new brew pub that opened in North Scottsdale. They were very nice people and I could tell how much they enjoyed their car. I naturally gave him an SLK World card and showed off my Smart-Top module. Welcome Gary! We are glad to have you here. Once you get settled in, post some more pics. Remember, some SLK items are for sale in the site store; like the Green Filters and Smart-Top module. Buying those items here helps support our site. And if you really like it here, consider a paid membership. It's inexpensive and a great value for the information provided. Scott, yes, I do believe that Cave Creek is where the chili beer comes from. I have seen it in the local stores. Good stuff. Lastly, check out Beachbum's handiwork at http://www.garyplummer.net/. My wife and I already have our eye on one of his tables for our patio.
