| I did a little project with my cheapo Amcor A3900 GPS (see pictures). Parts used: 1) 1x Glade car air freshener housing 2) 1x Cable binder 3) Top part of the suction cup mount that came with the unit |

| That's a really good way of mounting a GPS/Sat Nav system, it doesn't block your view of the road One thing I've been playing with, is mounting my TomTom on the dashboard in such a way that the image is reflected onto the windscreen (like the BMW Head-Up Display), obviously you have to use the 'flip screen' option on the TomTom. |

| Would that actually be readable? BMW use a coating on the screen to refect the image correctly.

With a GPS/Sat Nav that adjusts the backlight according to the ambient lighting, this should help with the clarity of the image. | |

| Hmm... Have to worry about the unit getting too cold or getting condensation from the air conditioner? Or overheating from the heater? |

| Yes, I guess heat could be a concern in cold weather when you turn it up high. There are still tricks you can play, though. You can stick it on a vent that you're not currently using. Some don't allow an unobstructed look at the screen, but you'll still hear the voice announcements. |
