Front License Plate Mount

Hello All:

It's been 6 weeks since I purchased a very slightly used 2006 SLK350. While it's been raining non-stop, it's still a blast to drive with the top up. I'm looking forward to the summer.

In Oregon, it's mandatory to have a front license plate. The dealer, thankfully, offered to put my front license plate in the trunk instead of drilling the bumper.

I found an excellent aftermarket solution which works great and is very reasonably priced. You can find it at the website www.gominigo.com. Dave Royce did a great job of getting the perfect fit for my car and I'm sure can do the same for anyone else who needs/wants this service.

Anyway, as a newbie, I thought there might be others out there that need this service and thought I'd let you all know.

Yes, I just got one. I am going to put it on this evening and post a pic.

I attached the front plate to my sport package front bumper using 3M Dual Lock with VHB foam tape. VHB = Very high bond. It's been in place for three years. I have disengaged the Dual Lock fastener to detach the LP bracket whenever I get the bumper repainted. Pictures posted somewhere on benzworld.
