| I have a 2009 SLK 55 (US Spec) on order. Of course I've ordered the Command/Nav system. I'm told the Nav system is a "Hard Disk/Drive" unit with US maps installed. The problem is that I live in Germany. My dealer is concerned that I will not be able to load the Euro maps on the system. I'm told this is the same system that was/is installed on the C-Class and they have similar issues. Does any know if the European maps may be installed on the Command/Nav system. Appearantly the folks in Stuttgart don't have an answer. Thanks |

| Its not a C class duplicate because this is an all in one headunit but you are taking a bit of a risk here, the US headunit is different to the EU one. May i ask why you are ordering a US spec car for the EU?

| Thanks all. I purchased the US Spec while in Europe because I do plan on taking it back to the states in a year or so. Like Dan mentioned, I'm taking a bit of a risk with the nav unit. Unfortunately, I don't have an option since this new "Hard Disk" system is part of the audio package also... I'll keep my fingers crossed. |

| Ah OK fair enough then, the headunits are different so i really can't say for sure if it will work. The one we have in the pre-facelift's use the same navi processor so it can be gotten around.
