I'll take 'em all! But I want it with even more horsepower - great heaping, tire frying, gobs of it!

On a more serious note, I wouldn't be the least surprised to see MB put the new 5.5 DOHC motor into the next SLK, as they now have stated they will share engines from "regular" MB products - it's less complex, more fuel efficient, and no doubt lots cheaper.

I think the 5.5 would be a good choice as far as being less complex ???? but the fuel economy is good and I don't know why mine came with a guzzler tax as I get 28 to 30 mpg at highway speed and if they raised the rear end final ratio to that on the SL600 or had the top two gears allow coasting(freewheeling) then the mileage would increase.
Putting this engine in the SLK would make a good performance package though.

Sounds good to me, like easty and Ikarus said perhaps we can now move onto weight and balance.

Just think of an CL on a serious diet and with real care and attention paid to how it handles, that would be something.

But saying that it will only be a matter of time until they are so out numbered power wise that they will have to move back to increased output for P-R if nothing else.
