Is this available on all AMG SLK's? I don't have it.

Is it only on certain model years or Euro only? Can I have my dealer activate in with STAR?

Gear indicatorUpshift instructionEngine oil temperature
In the manual gearshift program, the menu is displayed in red when the engine reaches the overrevving range. You will also see the shift up instruction . The shift up instruction is the only thing shown in the multi-function display until you shift gear.
The engine oil temperature indicator flashes if the engine oil temperature has not yet reached 80 †. Avoid driving at full engine output during this time.

RACETIMER

With the RACETIMER you can record times in hours, minutes and seconds.
While you have the RACETIMER displayed, you will not be able to adjust the volume using the and buttons.
Use the buttons on the multi-function steering wheel.
Press or to select the AMG menu.
Press repeatedly until the RACETIMER appears.

You can start the RACETIMER when the engine is running or if the key is in position 2 in the ignition lock.
To start: press to start the RACETIMER.

It is possible to store a maximum of nine laps.

Bad news - You need a new combi.

Its available on only 2007 SLK55's and above.

What is a combi? I know it as a stationwagon.
Can it be retrofit with the SDS?

Combi is instrument cluster's and gauges if I am not mistaken nmslk.

alroumi's right mate the combi is the instrument cluster (combi simply because of the combination of lights, dials and displays).

DAS won't be enough I'm afraid because the older clusters don't support the newer software versions.

I have a new cluster which has the AMG screen and lap timer available. Reading the instructions I need to do 2 laps to get the recap but what do I need to push to show the recap?
