Question questions

i am seriously looking into buying an slk 55 amg.

I am looking at a used 2006 or 2007 or even the 2008 as new

i would rather spend less money hence a used so my question is, is there much difference between the 06's and 07's( i haven't found much that there is)

and is it possible to put the paddle shifters on the 07 and 06 (the paddles are what i like and could force me to go for the 08 if otherwise.)

thank you for the replies i hope to join the community soon.

i would normally search these questions but since i am on a windows phone its nearly impossible.

Just remember the US 2008 SLK 55 without the 030 performance package have their brakes changed (comparing to the 2006 and 2007) link: http://www.slkworld.com/amgs/3553-20...mg-brakes.html

I think this (and reduced price) makes a used 07 the best buy.

PS. I rarely ever use the buttons and I don't think having paddles would increase the likelihood of using them. Be informed, the paddles are probably more for looks than function.

2007 model is the best bet, has the f1 style paddle shifter and larger brakers compared to the 2008 model.

Good luck with your next purchase and welcome to the forum,

Mohammed
