Hey mate,

Nice car i have seen a few knocking around near me and they look really good.

Can't say I'm a fan of the interior (dash mainly) but the exterior is awesome.

Very nice indeed!

Actually, my partner came over from the dark side. With an "unintended accelleration" wrecked 5000 Turbo on a flat bed, the insurance check and traded it in on a then new 1981 300SD.

It's been killing him that Audi is making such nice cars, they were so mean to him over the fact he had the mechanical proof of their design flaw. He loves the new Audi's, but can't bring himself to go in there.

Audi has been better, only 8 deaths from them denying anything is wrong with the TT, and the subsequent we're still not wrong but here's the harder springs and spoilers to prevent it.

However, seeing how Mercedes-Benz has been treating people at the dealers, it's not hard to see people forgetting about Audi's engineering past. They have design down second only to the likes of Ferrari, and if they can shake the VW electronics blues, should be on their way to being at the top.

It's a beautiful car, and a good buy.

Congradulation's its a terrific car, I've had my share of the Audi experience where our ex summer car a 88 Audi 80 4 door stalling numerous times when the A/C is on and in the mountains in South of France.

I hope you enjoy it in good health and post often.

Nice, It's a beauty, what's your first impression? I was just reading up on the S5 today, quattro is good for Colorado weather, there are a lot of Audi's here.

thanks for all the nice comments guys

the S5 is a really solid feeling car. handling is good until it begins to understeer. cant really feel the speed and unlike the SLK you rarely see the ESP warning lamp.

very comfortable interior although the rear is cramped but hey i dont sit there. the MMI system is very user friendly

only dislike is the low gearing. 3000rpm makes 70mph (which is low for a V8) making poor fuel consumption.

car is excellent overall and gets alot of attention

I agree with what others have said. Beautiful car, great color combination (love the red interior). Enjoy!

Yeah, some of the comments from member's on other car forums said, you can't feel the speed and it's slow for the amount of hp it has.

It still has more room in the rear than the SLK55 , Audi has one of the best interiors.

Definitely a looker. This is a S5 at SEMA, nicely modified.

well the poor ride quality and motorway noise on the SLK made me sell it. also the extra 2 seats would be v handy. plus im a shallow person and i like shiny new models .

also my car had about 4 warranty repairs during my 15month ownership which dimmed my view of the car although the dealership experience was excellent.

i get aroung 18.5mpg (UK) in the S5 which to put it into perspective i got about 23.5mpg in the SLK350 in the same driving conditions. and to be honest im not really going any faster and i think the power diff is only noticeable above 75mph

Part of the slow problem is a result of weighing almost 2 tons. Audi does have some the most refined and best interiors though.

Really? I haven't seen one on streets yet. It does look damn good in pics.

Is it just me or does every car manufacturer seem to be really improving it's game in the sports car section? There's so much to choose from now. I've even found myself considering the GT-R and I haven't cared for a Nissan since the 300zx.

DSB, I didnt like the R8 when I first saw it as I find the proportions to be in correct it has a long front and sweeping rear; Honestly I find it to look like a Mushroom fused with an elongated Audi TT.

It costs 150,000 usd here and for that much, I can get a very nice Porsche Exclusive 911 turbo (997) with nearly all of the options in the book, distinctive exterior colour and yet its still faster!
