| Be sure to specify the correct Michelin tire using the correct service description key. For my SLK32 it would be Pilot Sport PS2, 225/45ZR17 91Y MO, 245/40ZR17 91Y MO. Service Description Key: * = BMW; MO = Mercedes-Benz; N0, N1, N2 and N3 = Porsche Original Equipment Key: AU = Audi, BM = BMW, DC = DaimlerChrysler, MAS = Maserati, M B= Mercedes-Benz, P = Porsche, L = Lexus |

| You should mention it to the tire dealer. I'm out shopping for new shoes and the only dealer that new of the OEM tires and are willing to supply them is Phillips Tire Co. What's cool is there the lowest quote. he said the OEM tires are a few ($3.00) more per tire. |

| Why buy OEM tires? Just wondering as I have seen some of them mentioned on Tire Rack with things like Porsche OEM etc, but never new why someone would buy those over the generic PS or PS2. |

| Currently I'm using generic PS's and the tire tracking isn't right. Half the time, it feels like the alignment is out, but it's the tires. The car tracking wanders. There was a TSB out on Michelin PS all season tires where the tracking was bad. Many people thought they had alignment problems but it turned out to be the tire design. |

| Would you consider the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3?

| I believe if you don't use MO tires you risk warranty issues. Unfortunately, I didn't hear about this MO thing until after I bought my last set of winter tires or I probably would have searched for MO. I think it says something about the MO in the owners manual, but it is hidden in there somewhere. |

| MO's are the tires they test with right from the start. Sometimes they have slight changes from the standard tire and other times they are identical. If your planning on replacing the tires with another set of the same then like Tslick says mention MO even in the UK they only cost a little more and it puts a stop to any warranty issues regarding them. Even if they are identical to the standard off the shelf tire if you have the option always go for it, like brake fluid its real standardized but if you use Merc fluid the dealer / Merc have no way to get out of any claims.

| I've been looking at Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position, and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. They all come within $100 between the lot out the door. I've been using Michelin tires for 30 years with no real problems. It's my preference. |
