These are some pictures from today. My wife and I went driving with my boss and his wife. He has the Porsche. The shots lost a little when I shrank them down. It was a perfect day. Hope you enjoy.

The foliage was the excuse for the drive so I had to post some of it

It really was a gorgeous, near perfect day. It isn't often we get to see the leaves in 80 degree weather in Western New York in late October. It was only one year ago that the area was pummeled with heavy lake snows that did extensive damage to trees and houses in the area and put out electricity to many for about a week.

That red (in the car) seems hard to photograph well. I haven't done a lot of experimenting, but when the car is in direct sunlight, the red seems to "bloom" out and turn an almost orange color that isn't true to the car color. I think the digital cameras saturate the red too much (or some such). Except for the rear shot in the parking lot, all of those pictures were taken with my new video camera and I will have to see if there is some way to make that color come out better.

NICE CARS Mtiede. I can't help but say, once you get an slk55 amg or a Carrera S you will be HIS BOSS!

I already like my SLK 350 better than his Porsche, so from that perspective, I AM THE BOSS

I have a convertible, he doesn't

I should probably drive an SLK55 to see how I would like it, but I suspect it is actually more power than I would want to try to handle (not to mention the extra money required). The 350 is already a lot of power for me.

The car I learned to drive with was a 1960 Peugeot 404. I think it had 60 hp, maybe.

Actually if you look closely, my brother's Z4 M is parked right behind.

That shot came out way too dark though (It was pitch black out, we had a total lunar eclipse that night)

Definately not as nice as others above, but the best I have for the year with the SLK in them. These are from my September trip up the PCH on the way to Pebble Beach. Have to trade up and get a better camera than my point-n-shoot.
