| SLK32 amg, because I like to modify cars and there are a vast list of parts to choose from which add a substantial gain thanks to the supercharger. An ecu/pulley upgrade adds around 20hp alone.

| I don't think the word, better, applies. The 350 has a smother ride, the interior has more refinement including instruments. The body has nice curves and a better stance, etc. For me, I don't care for the interior door handles nor the fuzzy material used on the dash and non perforated leather seats of the R171. |

| The SLK350 is more available, whereas the SLK32 AMG is going to be a diamond in the rough. Resale value will hold better on the AMG, since production was limited. On the other hand, the SLK32 is quite old and the design and features are not as up-to-date as the SLK350. If you don't care about the latest in software-controlled stability control or GPS, you should consider a very clean SLK32 with all records and a good service history. Should you ever grow tired of the SLK32, you could always get a decent street price for it 1-2 years from now. Neither car would be a good "investment" but for pure joy and fun, the AMG puts icing on the cake. |
