| Scrolling... Scrolling... Scrolling... Please, people, be nice to people on small work laptops with your signature lines. First up, notice how this SUV type signature takes up the whole screen and has a picture that isn't all that pretty to look at. Next, this one is of a slightly different subject matter, but look how easily the third picture was done to be kinder but did not lose the overall view of the second picture. Thank you for your consideration. |

| I'd agree some are getting a little too big for repetative images. Something you can do yourself, is if you use an adblocker. Firefox includes a really good one. you can right click an image and block the specific image so you never see it again. becareful you dont block the whole site.

Also im sorry that our pictures have to be pleasing to your eyes When i added it to the page it came up that size, i dont know how to adjust the size, while im half a computer programmer, when it comes to do with anything with photos or photoshop, i am useless. |

| See, I kind of liked the old picture....what do they say, one picture is worth....... for example..you golf (I see the bag) whats your handicap?, you mow your own lawn (nice commercial mower, big property?)Looks like a powerwasher or maybe an edger behind (you obviously a neat person) and finally the bent rim..well looks like the stock 350 rim...I see it a warning to avoid lifes little bumps in the road .....I also had no control of the image size once uploaded for my signature....Enough talk, Blackberrys are taking over the universe! sometimes bigger is better, besides I like to scroll! |

| OK hope this makes it easier for you --- even though I can't see the details clearly I don't want to tax you by making you scroll

| OK guys, Tell you what why don't we pick a sig size and a max amount of text that we have as a limit and we can enforce that via software. Its a compromise situation i think because its not fair on people with normal/large screens to have images so tiny no real detail can be made out just like its not fair on people with small screens who have to suffer huge images. So lets find out the most common screen size and optimize the sig's for that.

| Thanks Bill, I think the current max sizes are pretty reasonable. one thing i noticed is there is actually a lot of space caused by the details in the profile info. For example, if someone has no photos, it should just leave it off, instead of saying "My Photos: (0)", currently there will be a lot of white space left at the bottom of each message. Also, the myspace, online/offline status icon, Aim icon, all of these could be put onto one row, instead of column. There should be a function in the top left or right corner that lets someone turn off all signatures and avatars if they want though, that helps. For example, when i surf from my phone, i prefer to have full functionality, but without all the images to have to load on the slower connection. Also, one thing i do is, if i type a lot of posts in one thread, i start unchecking the "show your signature box" so people don't have to keep seeing my signatures. personally i browse 1400 by 1050, so i think everything is fine the way it was. Gene/Cruzer8's signature is now nothing more than a thumbnail to me. Whereas before, i could immediately see he has chrome wheels for example, now i can't even tell. Personally i think everyone should have a signature image, and no avatar, this way we can see the perspective they are coming from when they ask a question, such as if Gene asked 'should i get silver accents or chrome' we wouldn't have to ask, 'well what kind of rims do you have'? BTW guys, this is post number 666 for me. I hope i don't crash the server with my spinning avatar. |

| i don't much care about the size of the sig's, but i think that racercub was wrong to single out one person to use as an example. if he (baron) was the only, "offender", than a pm would be the appropriate medium. i like baron 7700's picture; it's not just another boring car picture like the rest of us have. i guess to some people, size does matter... |

| No its ok i will try to resize it as I do understand his point, i dont think we need a required sig size or anything, but just some courtesy. I just didnt like the way it was handled, and I apologize to racercube if i came off sharp. ![]() Quote:
I have a John Deer 755 with a I belive 66" mower deck, and a John Deer 455 With a 60" mower deck, mulcher attachment, and MC15 trailing system to catch my clippings. I live on 20 acres of land, 9 of it being heavy fields we enjoy lots of our toys in that need a heavy mower. 5 acres is my front yard, and the other 6 surround the house, cabana and pool area. So i like to keep it almost golf course looking wit the smaller sharper one. Its a power washer, for fountain, house, occasionally car, and pavers. The edger is behind it but you cant see it! Its my task to keep things around the house in order (when i have time) otherwise i get an earful. The bent rim was my old black ones, which i think there are some pics of it up here somewhere. I bought them because they looked like the stock ones, but were bigger, blacker, (insert your joke here) and had a chrome lip.

However, the big pictures also take their toll in repetitiveness. Sure the wheel one was interesting the first couple times I saw it, then it just became something I had to keep scrolling past. As far as singling someone out, that was an example. Do you want me to do screen captures of more then 5 to put up? I just used those two pictures as they were the handy ones. I am not asking for any programming to be removed, or needed revenue for the site stopped. I just requested that people be kind and consider people with smaller displays.

| I like the picture John, it's unique. And it obviously meant something to you or you wouldn't have posted it. Quote:
