Nice, I like the 1960's Cal plates (orange on black). Must be a long time owner.

Didn't get any good info except that he had it painted and couldn't get the org paint because of environmental restriction and that it does overheat in the valley they call it " The Roaster " Great looking and it has been in the family awhile.

Gene, what do you think. If the plates were black on orange, the family would have owned the 300SL since new (~50 years). That would be cool.

I'd say that would be . When I see them again I'll ask didn't get a chance to talk with them for very long if he shows again I'll see if we could park side by side that would make some good pictures. I've been trying to get some Mercedes ownwers to show up for these meetings this time we had 3 last time was just us. Guess I should post it on the site next time.

Saw this one last year at Euro Auto Festival in SC. Beautiful cars.

Can't wait for this year coming up in October 19-21. First time I will be driving a euro.
