Not with my SLK. Nothing underneath to protect the paint? Don't try this at home. I'll keep my 13" B&W TV.

Seriously, cardboard can really scuff up paint, not to mention the weight on the hidges at that angle can't be a good thing...

maybe I should have said it was a joke?
Besides the damage you may cause to the car, you can end up in trouble with the Police if you drive around like that!

Our new S has a fabulous boot. With 16+cf above the floor and two storage compartments below the floor it is very convenient. And below the compartments is the spare tire.

I normally carry a cloth tarp in the trunk/boot for unexpected occasions. At least place a large cotton towel to protect the paintwork.

Anyhow, it's a 40 inch LCD/plasma and they're relatively light.

I bought a cargo net for the 600. It partially covers the underfloor storage compartments.

Not much on this forum, I think Beverage's car has it but on the other MB forums, many pics of the SLK200 with those wheels.

When my wife and I first relocated to Las Vegas, she wanted a mini frig for her office at work.

Only having the SLK at the time (Saturn Vue followed). We roped it into the trunk. Half in the trunk, the other half hanging out. It definately looked odd, wish I had the foresight to take a picture.
