Thanks for the education guys, sounds like a neat thing. Appreciate your time and effort to edumacate this old country boy who can identify a computer 2 outa 4 times. Had a guy in Denver at out IS dept work on our office computer from Denver. That blew my mind. All this new fangled stuff, Fax, internet phone, thermos bottle, amazing stuff.

It's not the fact thats its just very fast hardware, it's mainly the fact that sony (or some software firm) wrote the software to use all the hardware for the app. If the PC version was written in that way it would be similar if not faster with the latest Nvidia and ATI video cards. But it's no, on the PC it solely uses the CPU/s. Well there are a couple of older ATI cards that can be utilised.

the growth of the group is awesome. top 3400 teams.. wow! thats impressive, keep it up guys. hopefully i'll be back with ya helping out soon.

Yay, I made it onto the list.

I put it on a couple of machines - funny thing is that it appears that the slowest machine (Mac Mini) finished first. Perhaps the benchmarking estimates what the machine can handle and gives the bigger jobs to the faster machines. The little mac is often underestimated. The big black quad-dual-core-Xeon IBM monster is still not finished its first job ;-)

I think your right Jamie. I'm not 100% but the weighting is certainly setup like that. As you can see on the table. some work unit's reward with much bigger points.
