Ha Ha Ha

My WU (work unit) first said 465 days to complete

So I let it run all night. This morning it said 17 days. Now it says 18 days

Now I'm going backwards

LOL

Maybe it will finish tonight went it has full CPU attention.

I think I read also about the first WU being totally out of touch. it'll base later WU on your initial one to give a better ETC. I think it runs a little benchmark to try and guestimate the speed of your cpu but it's not very good. My first one said 47 days and only took 5.

mine had about 2 days to go, after 10 days, then spacked out - when it restarted it was up to the middle of February

I'm only 50% on my first WU, Pentium 3

. I might get a new desktop with the Windows Vista in the next few weeks or months. Gotta check with the CFO (aka wife, Mrs. or mate)

I just finished the first WU today 20,000/20,000. Is the Work Unit automatically sent from the home computer? The Team Statistics doesn't show my user name. Do I need to do something under the configure settings within the Folding@home menu?

ago and downloaded the app but see no evidence of activity.

The task bar at the bottom of your screen, on the right lower corner, is a red icon that looks like a gear with 5 spokes, place the cursor over it and it will show something like: F@H working (311/5000). If you don't see the red icon, you can expand the task bar by clicking the (<) symbol.

You can right click on the red icon and choose Display: it shows cool protein structure and the different data on the left column.

With 3 teenagers in the house, my laptop does not get much down time to do any "figuring".

Guys I've also noticed there's a gpu client availalble for ATI cards.

If you have an AMD/ATI x1600, x1800 or x1900 ATI try out this version for some super folding.
