| OK as a stranger on US soil I love to do anything cultural and the things I think as real american. which sometimes is difficult in Texas if it doesn't involve rodeo or trucks. Anyhow my chick told me about an old fashioned out door cinema only 40mins drive away so I jumped at the Idea and we drove down there to watch a couple of movie yesterday evening. First I was suprised by how daym cheap it was. Two movies for $6 and a burger and chips for $3.. I'm a fan already. Ok so I drive up to the front and drive the front wheels up the ramp so we where looking directly at the screen with no obstructions then I realise all my lights don't tunr off. I think the way I had it set-up it was impossible to run the car with the lights off. So I scrolled through the MFD and turned all the lighting options to manual and finally was in darkness. well we still had to have the radio on to tune in for the cinema audio. So this meant the Commend lit up brightly, I hung a napkin to take away the glare. this car wasn't designed with open cinema's in mind. It wasn't too cold so we left the top down and shut the engine off and watched the first firm in Glorious AMG comfort. When I returned from the restroom it looked funny to see plenty of huge texas trucks and my little SLK parked together. It was getting a lot colder for the second movie to I put the roof up and ran the engine while I blasted some heat into the cabin and ran the heated seats and airscalf for a while. All in all and great experience. I loved the open cinema and it was especially awesome in the SLk with the top, my chick was also very impressed with the car. She said if the Ritz had a cinema it would be like watching it from an AMG. Open cinema's get my vote.

| It's called a "Drive In" movie , we still have one left, I don't dare to take my SLK there, it's dirt road with huge rocks, many dips and bumps, I doubt if my SLK will make it out w/o a new paint job. I haven't been to one of those in ages, although I do drive by it almost everyday. |

| Nice to know, We had an open cinema in Kuwait and it was closed, they are replacing it with a 10 theatre cinema complex.

| Unfortunately, the SLK is missing one of the most important parts of the drive in movie experience with a girlfriend - the back seat |
