| Just from looks alone, I'm not sure if it's any better than the OEM wheels that you already have. Is there any other advantage? like they're significantly lighter than OEM?

| They would look real good on your car. The spokes are a little bit wider than mine for easier cleaning and showing off the brake disk and calipers. I'd be concerned with two piece rims. I've seen a lot of photos with rusted fasteners (nuts and washers on the back side) and it's hard to tell if the fasteners are high strength. You can always change out the fasteners. | i really don't know the weight difference but since i don't track the car i'm not concerned about a couple of pounds. for me the benefits would be going from 18 to 19 inch wheels, wider tires and the more open look showing off the rotors and calipers (yeah... i have a brake fetish!) |

| I'm among the group that doesn't like chrome but I really don't matter. Get what you like the most and YOU'LL be happy. FYI, 2 piece wheels are welded and the bolts are merely cosmetic. 3 piece wheels are actually assembled (functional bolts). I've never seen or heard of them rusting, but I guess it's possible. I hope you're in a situation that allows you to test the wheels on the car. Not all wheels are created the same. As in, just because the offset is correct, that doesn't mean the spokes will clear the large brake caliper. Just make sure the place you do business with take responsibility for the wheel order and will replace them if they don't fit right. The SLK55 is relatively new so some wheel manufacturers/shops may not have any experience with fitment. PS. Did you check to see if they have those sizes? I would recommend staying away from spacers if you can. If it's a necessity, try to keep it as thin as possible.

| Check these pages: http://www.mbslk.de/modules.php?op=m...&orderby=dateD Pictures show a wide range of rims used in and around Germany! Click on the picture to enlarge. On Top of the pic is the technical info. Not sure if all these rims are to be had in the US! |

I'm with dsb, I've never heard the bolts rusting, I've had my 3 piece racing hart for over a decade with no problems (if only racing harts makes wheels for MB's) but it could happen. They are metal bolts and we know metal can rust. TSW's been around for awhile and have a great reputation, another reason I don't think they'll fit w/o spacers is because the spokes are flat from the center to the outer wheel, unlike my DCR, they are curved (arc) where the brake calipers are. So it's important to double check and if they don't fit, make sure they have a refund policy. Some wheels manufacturers/dealers don't refund after you mount it. Doesn't make sense as one has to mount it to know if it'll fit. I doubt if you'll have this problem with TSW.

| The pictures you posted of the chrome rims are decent, however paint them black and it will look way better.

| I had these ones on my R170 http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...2FBlack+Accent and they were very easy to keep clean with their black interior, now if I had the money, I would probably go for these http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...Super+Polished or these http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...Standard+Model Tirerack has this nice little page where you can preview the rims on your car http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_gara...Standard+Model |

| I love those pics. Makes me want to go out and practice my photo skills. Too bad the weather is crap right now ![]() Pics seems to look so much better in low light/overcast vs sunny conditions.

| hey scott, I think the TSW's are a solid choice! My best friend has some 20inch TSW's on his Caddy xlr, bot sure if they put spacers on tho. But hey, i got a small spacer on my front wheels, and i dont feel any difference in handling. And like everyone says, TSW is a quality brand that has been around for awhile, really cant go wrong with them. 2 piece better then then one peice. |

Ynot... you sir were correct. the tsw's will not work because the spokes would hit the calipers. i checked around and found something that i like (a lot) and will work. i held the chrome and silver models up to the car and made a choice. i ordered 'em (19x8.5 and 19. 9.5) and got a set of the approproate size ps2's coming too! the owner of the tire shop has been a friend of mine for about 20 years and he's guaranteed the fit... any problems and they go back for a full refund. i hope to be posting pix on thursday! thanks again to everybody for your input and guidance!
