Thanks to eddy In Lake Forest, Ca. for the Smart Top install. It was successful on the first attempt! My future son-in-law, David, was also a great help. It took about an hour and a half. It works great. Rode home with the top down. Its good to live in

Quite welcome Bruce.

David did most of the work. I just worked on removing the CANBUS cover and doing the connections to draw power from the dashboard fuse box. Thanks also to DansSLK for the OEM fuse holder and contact spring (makes the install look OEM and stealthy to the untrained eye, we used fuse position #42).

Half of the time we were chit-chatting :) Morever, many thanks for the Cabernet Sauvignon. I promise to drive first and drink later when I'm home :biglaugh:

Eddy is definitely an ambassador here at SLKWorld. He sent me a modified R170 antennae (bought and paid for at dealership and modified by him) before I was able to send him a check for the item. Talk about good-faith!

We can all just hope he keeps his SLK before we give our up.
