Absolutly thrill!

The last week I´ve been to Gozo. It´s a small island near to Malta which is very lovely and the inhabitants are very proud and honest. For all ManU Fans, the last days there was a Gary Nevill in the hotel Ta Cenc where we stayed too.

The streets between Victoria, the Ramla Bay, Xendri and the harbor are not really comfortable and we took a Ford Ka with a maximum power of 50hp. With the steering wheel on the wrong side we drove around the whole island and it was very funny.

The "black box" was running like a rabbit and we overtook a lot of Toyotas and - hello! - Mercedes!

Let me get this straight... You opted for a Ford in sunshine over an SLK in rain and drab weather. Is that what Im hearin??? Is there a doctor in the house? Gero has lost his mind. A day sitting in my SLK without tires and wheels installed is better than driving a Ford, even the Lightning and the Shelby.

Thats a car i've not seen in the states. Love to see what they think of them here.. Any car on dusty old roads can be great fun. And right hookers drive better there just more naturally balanced as a real mans brain is weighted to the left.

Doug, my brain specialist* said: Take it!

No doubt, with a SLK the drive would have been very difficult because of the bad streets. I tried to get a Smart Cabrio but on Gozo there was no. Because of the left hand shifting I wanted a car with an automatic gear box, but only big cars have had it. So I decided to take the great Ka and I had no problems with my stupid hand.

The Malti language is very interesting - a little Italian and the rest Arabic. Whahat chay was no problem to understand for them

Lovely, My brain doctor gave up on me years ago. He said " You are going to drive yourself into the grave early if you don't slow down and relax occasionally". Heck, another competition I thought, Ill show him, I will keep going wide open and still out live him. He died 3 years ago at 53, I win. My wife hates to go on vacation with me,she says I make her tired.

Gozo, what a beautiful place to relax, I looked on Google Earth and still have not found. Google Earth is the next best thing to bein there. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Malta DA, I found it. Was lookin in the wrong planet. What town were you stayin in? I have always wanted to visit those islands in the Med. Greece and such have such character and charm. Some day!!!!!

The Hotel Ta Cenc is in Sanata, when I remember right Doug.

After a long walk we rested at a store to drink a coke on the pedestrian. We sat down, drunk the Coke and smoked a cigarette. After finishing we went back to the Hotel and I forgot my cigarettes. Two days later I went there to buy some biscuits. Suddenly the owner told me that I forgot my cigarettes and gave them back to me.

On that walk we met a man restoring his old farmhouse. After asking he invited us to look inside and it was absolutly wonderful. Before we left he said:"If you come back, have a look inside again. The door is open."

You have 3 island in Malta. Gozo is the second (northwest of the main island).

We meant to do Greece the last time we were here, but got interrupted with a stint on Okinawa, then a couple years in the States...so many places...so little time (and money).
