I got the 030 Nurburgring option on the SLK55 in Test Drive Unlimited, and was checking to see if I could make the supposed 178 MPH top speed. It takes a LOT of virtual real estate to even get close. The V8 gets unhappy above 155 and accelerates slowly.

Well, I took my hands of the wheel to do the screen capture for just a moment, and then I dropped a wheel of the shoulder. You see that telephone pole on the left? Nope, hit the one past it.

Isn't it always the luck... taking the 55 for a high speed run and some broad in an SUV on a cell phone decides she wants to kill herself and her 4 kids by trying to cut you off for no reason.

RacerCub68! I have it on PC. Run it on my 21" Samsung at 1600 x 1200 with HDR and 2x Anti-Aliasing (I need the second card for my SLI setup to do 4x smoothly, but waiting to get 2 DirectX 10 cards instead.)

I bought another "luxury home" on the other side of the island, and when I parked my Gullwing 300SL in it, it showed the garage had a huge picture of a SLK55 racing down a road.

I bought a Logitech G25 wheel set as my old Thrustmaster setup would not work with Vista. My fingers were starting to hurt with all the play time on the cursor keys so I could get the money to buy the SLK.

I was hoping I could make the 55 a 6 speed manual (as the new unit has an actual shifter and clutch) but the game still only lets you use the paddles. Damn AMG! ;-) The 55 has become a fun car in the D class, as long as I break hard for every serious corner, and go into much slower then I would think I could take it at. I can usually take a left hand turn at the bottom of third gear now.

I get challenged a lot by guys in Audi TT's in the game, and they quickly figure out they are too far outclassed, especially since mine is "tuned" with the 030 option. When I first got the SLK55 though, I was slaugthered by a guy in a Lotus Exige CSR racer. To be fair tho, that was pre 030 kit, and me using cursor keys. Hard to drive fast when pushing a key ends up in 45 degree steering wheel turn.

The SUV was fast only after the impact. In the game, the other cars wreck and break apart, but you just slide and bounce around.

I miss Porsche Unleashed, the BEST Need for Speed title done by this same company. The most accurate physics and also on your car, which would loose functionality as you damaged it.

Yup its slow after 155mph and Ive got bored of this game on my 360, I now only play Project Gotham Racing 3

Yeah? Do you have a 6-speed for your 360?

I love my new Logitech G25!

However, I never buy 'consoles" as they get obsolete too fast. Just wait for the PC version.

Gothem racing looks good, but I am not a fan of GT unrealistic driving dynamics. I lement the lack of development for accurate physics, and damage penalties since Porsche Unleashed.

i have a 8800 nvidia in the pc and love playing oblivion and armed assault. new games like stalker are meant to be impressive.
