Hi all,

it's not a Kill Story but a Driving Story with a lot of fun during the last weekend.

The ATP is a automotive testing area in the North West of Germany located near a small town named Papenburg; see here: http://inet.atppbg.de/index.php?lang=en
Mainly Mercedes and Karmann are testing their cars and prototypes there. Karmann is an important bodyshell supplier and convertible producer for some German cars; e.g. Audi A4, Mercedes CLK and not to forget the Chrysler Crossfire.

We have had the possibility to use some facilities there last Saturday with 24 cars. It was an annual event called "Spring Break" by www.mbslk.de to start the season.

The first picture shows my car and me on a slippery and watered surface testing the possibilties of ABS, ESP, etc. The adhesion was less than on snow and we had to reach this surface around 70 km/h. ....

High speed driving was also possible. This AMG55 was testing its 280 km/h limiter.

Finally some tracking rounds. I was not the fastest. Look at the chips and stones on side of the track. I didn't want to slip therein. But it was a great experience to feel working the adjustable suspension.

NEATO. Great pictures. I really like the high banked track shot and all the SLKs lined up. I'm the guy, sitting behind the laptop, WISHING I was there!

Yellow isnt a 55, look it doesnt have black grills between the mercedes star.

I am glad that you liked it.

It was astonishing in the high banked track: It was like driving straight ahead. You didn't have to move or hold tight the steering wheel. The only difference was that you had to look for the car in front of you in the right upper corner of the windscreen.

Mohammed, you are right, the yellow one is a 350 with Supersprint exhaust. But the colour is little bit too eye-catching for my taste. I like it more inconspicuous and darker.

The yellow, mustard colored SLK 350 stand out like a sore thumb, but it sure looks good. Too bad it couldn't be more pale yellow and less mustard looking. I like the interior. Good eye Alroumi, determining it wasn't a SLK 55, I missed it.
