| yes, a manual one. and FPF is correct.... dusted me. They are not much quicker from 60-100 but to 60 just leaves you. disgustingly so, it's my mates girlfriend who drives it, but she is a karting champion so i didn't feel as bad . |

| 350Zs are good cars although after driving one I can tell that its heart is not of a sports car but that of a typical nissan. I had the privalege to drive my buddies 350Z. It was pretty much stock besides the CAI and full exhaust system. The car sounds amazing and is good in a straight line but is very unpredictable through the curvy roads. I loved it but Id take my slk anyday. |

| 350 cant beat any vet made after 97. Otherwise the driver was just letting you have it. 280 cant get past a 350z. Put a 350slk can get past a 350z. ![]() |

| I think the 350 can kill a stock Auto Corvette C5.

| ......it c5's had what 307 bhp and they are lighter or same weight? Think it might come down to drivers, but i wouldnt say its a killin, but i think the vette would take it in the end. |

| Probably at the top end, due to its V8 engine.

| C5's have 350 hp and TONS more torque than a 350Z, are lighter and have a better drag coefficent - stock to stock a C5 will walk all over the Nissan. C5's in the hands of a competent driver will run low low 13's (some have even dipped into the 12's) in the 1/4 and top out at 175mph - a Z isn't close in either category.

| I don't know what you're all thinking, but my SLK pride aside, given the same driving (or dragging) skill, >97 Corvettes will beat the SLK350 auto/manual pretty consistently. Bad launches aside, there's just no way our 350's can hang. Green filters, a chip, and less weight would help us, but we're just starving for power. The 1st gear ratio doesn't help us tremendously either. |

| Coming from someone with a 350Z (SLK has been ordered... ) A C5 vette is a fun run till about 40, when they just take off. As for SLK issues, the 280 doesn't even hold a candle to my Z in a straight line, and it only catches up a bit in the twisties. That being said, Ive gone head to head with a SLK 350 several times, and its been different each time...so Im thinking the driving had something to do with it. BTW my Z is a 2005 Roadster with a CAI and Auto. |

As said already, i own a 280 and my friend has a 350Z and it just walks away from me in a straight line, but a 350Slk would be close. I do however much much an slk over a 350Z, just can't warm to their styling. | |

| haha.. there were a few on the track, the other day, I didn't get to run against it on the straights, wanted to, there was a white one that wanted to run against me on the public road in middle of traffic, I didn't play. There was nothing to prove except to see who's crazier there isn't room for a drag.

| Basically, SLK350 (MT or AT), 350Z stock, G35, IS350, 335i are all within .2 of each other on the 0-60. Most are rated at 5.3, but real world with real drivers is more like 5.5. This means it's all driver and reaction time. |
