Default 2006 Audio 20 Upgrade to NTG 2.5

I've read plenty about this and know that Comand Online has adapater cables, but I've never seen answer to following question.

I have MHI phone connector in console and would like to continue to have this option.

My reading suggests the following

1. In Europe, there are cables, etc. to accomplish this.

2. In USA there is no mention anywhere (not in user manual, for example) of this being an option.

Question: Does this mean for USA versions of NTG 2.5 there is NOT a connector, i.e. the capability to use MHI connector/cradle for charging/antenna? Or is it there and just never mentioned?

I have iPhone 3Gs cradle and think I have best of both worlds, i.e. bluetooth with phone in my pocket, or when I choose a "mount" for my phone that charges and improves reception.

TIA

IIRC, bluetooth circuitry is incorporated into the NTG 2.5 and the later version of the A20 (is it called the A25?), so there's no need for a puck.

I understand there's no need and I'm not talking about "puck" but rather "cradle."

However it's also true that use of cradles with MHI/UHI connector in console is indeed possible in, for example, the UK. So, again, my question is does the USA unit feature the connectors and capabilities for this?

Sorry for the delay in replying to this. we have been very busy of late.

The UHI/MHI connection is not supported with NTG 2.5. What you need to do is to convert this to comfort phone. this looks very similar to UHI/MHI except that the connection itself bluetooths to the head unit. then a cradle is inserted onto the connection which the phone sits in or bluetooths to. There are kits to convert this. If you send your full VIN/chassis number to sales@comandonline.co.uk we will price up the kit for you.
