Whats the best method to remove tire marks from the plastic front fascia down by the fog light. The fascia was treated with perma-seal (I believe) when new. I had a run-in with a rouge outer re-tread tire (in the round). Last edited by Tslick; 12-09-2006 at 08:34 PM.

Maybe so, when I picked up the car after repair (yep, the fog lamp was replaced along with inner mounting tabs), the service manager was all excited and showed me all the new AMG63's that arrived this week. The S63 is one hot car.

| Ouch! Tom, try something mild like bug and tar removal gel and let it soak for 3-5 minutes and gently work off the rubber marks with your fingernail. Has the material penetrated to the paint?

Thanks etyu, It's not as bad as it looks. It cleaned up with a 10 minute wash/rinse. But the pic was ugly. I haven't verified that a ~1/8 dia hole has been drilled at the end of a crack in the fascia behind the mesh grill. Something to do tomorrow. Crack mitigation a must with these plastic parts.

Motzkoman on another forum ran into a tire at night. Didn't see it in time. Really broke the plastic up good. You should be thankful it just washed up. I think he had to pay something like $1000 to get it fixed.
