Default self portrait?

nothing shines quite as well as a freshly detailed black car...

That is a great picture, I remember doing the same when I polished it last year.

Actually I've got a question, now is polishing great in an annual basis or will it remove the paints depth or texture the more you use it.

Nothing shows the mirror-like reflection better than a dark colored vehicle. Excellent pix Scott. Looks like a nice photo on a warm Easter afternoon/early evening (80 degrees F ).

Great looking picture. You can't even tell it's black. The only thing for sure is that you were in a parking structure, top floor, probably late Saturday with no else around...

Cool pic! I avoid self portraits though, even reflected ones *L*, like the plague.

What did you use to detail the car? Zaino? Meguiars? Klasse? My SLK is black too, and I'm getting ready to give it the spring detail very soon. I have some swirl marks that I really want gone. Your car looks great, please share the product line used and the process you carried out in the detail. Thanks in advance!

DSB gets the Sherlock Holmes award... you nailed location and timeframe in every detail.

I'd really like to take credit for the work, but the truth is that the car was detailed at the dealer. After a service visit almost a year ago that I was not pleased with, I gave honest, constructive input when asked about my experience. This wasn't the first not so great experience at that dealership, so they comp'd me a detail (to go with the golf bag they comp'd me for that same visit.

I'm happy to report that my last two times at the same dealer resulted in exceptional service. I was very pleased to let them know this too.
