Just checked on the internet. Meguair's does have one (Gold Class Bug and Tar Remover) but it's the spray type and not the gel type. Reviews on it were better than average.

to be honest it's not that good. smells lovely, but as for performance not the best. I ound Autoglym tar remover to be the best for bugs and tar.

Thanks for the tip, I have an old one where the label came off and couldn't tell what brand it is. Guess it's time to look for Autoglym.

Airscarf is part of the heating package option for the R171. It is a vent located at the neck area of the seats and it will blow warm air across the neck area for those times you want to drive with the top down and its nippy outside. Check out MBUSA.com and select Roadster and Build Your Own and under Options, click the Heating Package.

I was using a laser touchfree car wash every day or two and hand washing it on Saturdays until I bought a Pressure washer.

Usually a quick wash and towel dry before I leave the house at least every other day.

I hate Dust and Dirt on my SLK!

I'm embarrassed to admit I'm lucky to get the car washed once a month. I just have so much going on right now. Besides, it doesn't get super dirty here in Vegas, dusty, but not dirty. I'd wash it more if I were allowed to wash my car in our complex. Anyway, once I get moved, it will get washed at least every other week. Maybe more through the winter.

As a side note: I just used Zaino's Z-9 & 10 on the interior...very impressed! And it smells great! Highly recommended!!

I used to wash my own car but these past years I'm just prefer to give it out. I plan on taking advantage of the dealer's free (machine) wash and vacuum once a week. Anyone know of a quality place to get my car detailed, I'd like to get it waxed for a show car finish.

i also enjoy cleaning cars. when me and my girl have a good disagreement (aka her shouting at me for something) i always find washing my car helps me relax. or a bad day at work, a good therapeutic car valet seems to calm the nerves.
i would wash mine once a week, but in the summer when days are longer and cars stay cleaner i would do it once every 2-3 days and wax once every 2 weeks.

You also get tired quickly, Last time it took me 45minutes to clean the XKR when it was dusty with fine sand. Very tiring especially cleaning/removing the dust from the protective layering on the bonnet.

I'm impressed with the number of hands on car washers among
you. I hate to say that I most often run mine through an
automatic carwash. That is probably blasphemous and I won't
even dare posting my list of excuses/rationalizations. . .
