Found this lil memo on my car yesterday: It was from the girl who works at the cafe facing the carpark which i park my car everyday. I've seen the magpie jumping on every car under the tree (maybe where it's nest is) and it pecked some utes. Talked to the girl later on and she said the bird does jumping around cars but eventually it'll stick back to mine and keeps attacking! No wonder the weird prints all over my car every day... what should i do? what kind of cover won't makes me look like an over protecting bitch? ![]()

Why does it attack the roof, is it seeing its reflection and thinks it's another bird? If that's the case then you could try having graphics of the shadow of a bigger bird put on your roof, otherwise hire and assassin and get rid of the bugger! ![]()

Well, for starters, don't park under any tree, and don't even park near this tree! If bird poop is a problem, and it sometimes in everywhere, keep your horizontal surfaces protected by a good wax job, and carry some detailing spray and microfibers in your trunk. Don't leave bird poop on the paint for any longer than necessary, as some of it will eat right through the clear coat.

BTW, why would a car cover make you look like an overprotecting bitch? In hindsight i would guess Muimui is a girl?

Get a MB car cover. Usually can be ordered through a third party. Avoid tree's if possible. We have grackles here in Texas and for some reason they are a direct descendents of dinosaurs (don't know why, but assume because they are idiots). Tend to pick certain cars and leave deposits which eat your paint. Don't worry about what people think, I do the same thing and don't care.

| Personally, I wouldn't mind what anyone thinks about my placing a car cover.

| What brand and where did you purchased your SLK car cover? I left it in the garage most of the winter and notice a lot of dirt and dust stuck to the paint, I'll have to clay and wax it soon.

I actually have an off brand right now for the SLK. I have a 'California Car Cover' Kelly stormguard (sp?) for my SEC and i've yet to see a nicer car cover. Nice and thick, semi- plush on the inside. Great fitment.

I guess I'm a bit confused here. Is the bird pecking (and thus scratching) your top, or is the bird "pooping" on your top? Depending on the problem, there are different solutions.

California Car Cover...I find their product to be the best. I use it in the garage and bring it with me on trips. When I park the car anywhere for a long period of time (like hotel parking lots) I pop the cover on. Keeps the sun and dust and bird droppings and fingerprints off the finish.
