Default How To Clean: Black around/inside front nose emblem?

So the dealer gave me the car back today after a second "new delivery" detail and it still has what appear to be water spots on the inside of the black circular nose emblem. I don't want to scratch it but a light cleaning didn't make much difference.

Any suggestions for cleaning it and/or water spots on black plastic in general?

I don't know if this would do the trick but....

Being a new car, pick up some Zaino products (or whatever you prefer) and start by using a claybar. Get the thing 100% clean then put on a layer or two of wax.

I want mine to be perfect, but it's not going to happen. Observe your car from a greater distance and enjoy it more!

As someone already mentioned, I use Zaino to keep it nice and shiney. If you have some persistent water spots though that just won't go away with the usual methods, try adding an ounce of vinegar to distilled water in a spray bottle of some kind (old Windex bottle for example) and spray the area with that. Wipe clean and detail with your favourite product.

I am enjoying the new car a great deal and it's not a source of concern for me. I don't need perfect, just want clean when possible.

Smile New Merc driver

Hi
New Merc SLK 350 r171 driver from Australia.
I'm enjoying every minute I'm in the car. My wife had to get me to wash all our other cars but not this one, as its a joy to maintain. I have about 4500KMs on the car.

I got my zaino from this Australian online shop, most of the australian detailer gets it from here. Click Here

I think he is located in Melbourne so you might be able to pick it up locally instead of him sending it out to you.
