| The link below is to a company that supplies touch up paint bottles, pens, spray, etc. It was highly recommended on another forum. Unfortunately, I had to order a paint touch up kit for my car tonight. I noticed a hairline scratch on the passenger door about 1 cm long. It penetrated to the base coat. It is mid door just below the window and very noticeable. I took it over to a local body repair shop that only does high-end cars and the rep suggested I do it myself or he offered to do it for me for a few bucks if I supplied the touch-up paint. So I did a little research and decided to do it myself. I fixed a little rash on one of my 030 AMG wheels last winter so I feel confident. I'm not expecting perfection, just a pretty decent job that isn't immediately visible. Funny, before I got this little scratch I thought I'd be completely bummed when I got my first ding or scratch; but it was almost a relief. I'm looking at this as just another little project. Gotta' keep things in perspective these days! http://www.paintscratch.com/ |

| Most high end dealers have various vendors that visit their dealership weekly. One guy does wheel repair, one does minor paint touch up, and another does ding repair. I picked up business cards for each. I've already used the services of the wheel and paint touch up guys. The wheel guy needs more experience and the paint touch up guy was excellent. He uses a hypodermic needle for chips and light scratches. He spent almost an hour going over my car and charged $40, he supplied the paint.
