I have been reading a lot about Zaino and other products, but I am curious to know if anyone has used Nu-Finish? I'm sure it will not provide the kind of polish that Zaino does, but I hear that Nu-Finish is VERY durable and lasts even in the harshest environments. Anyone here ever try this product? Thanks!

As I recall, Nu-Finish is a POLISH not a wax or sealant. It works by removing a thin layer from the surface. I wouldn't use it except on an old car. Zaino has products to remove the current wax and dirt, put on a bonding layer, and keep that layer clean (from what I have read). I think you want a Zaino type product and not a polish.

Well i just bought Meguires NXT Tech Wax and used it today. I can notice a big difference. I have a black slk 350 and i wanted something that is going to prevent water spots and protect the paint. I heard good reviews for that product so I picked it up at autozone. Ziano i would have had to wait for 5-6 days and i dont have the patience. My car looks great.

i bought Meguiars swirl remover recently and am still to give my car the once over with it. afterwards i have autpglym lifeshine and then meguiars wax to finish. My car is covered in swirl marks fro constant washing and drying, so it is due a really good rub down! Zaino seems to be the product to have according to everyone, but Meguiars is sold down the road, so for handiness i'll stick to it. Zymol is also a good product if anyone ever considers it.

I honestly dont think there can be a huge difference between well known products and brands. I can see a difference in my paint after using the NXT Tech wax from Meguires, and I plan on adding another coat of it in a few weeks. My paint feels as smooth as silk, there is great gloss and i can tell it's already protecting against swirl marks. I dont mind putting a few coats of wax on my car, i would do it every month or two if it means keeping the car clean and protected. I think the next thing i do will be conditioning the leather. Bottom line is... if you are unpatient (like me) and want something that is available pretty much everywhere, get the Meguires NXT Tech Wax. If not, order the Ziano products. The Meguires was really cheap. I was able to buy the wax, car shampoo, 4 applicator pads, tire dresser, and 5 micro fiber cloths all for $35. If i was going to order Ziano it would have been much more for only 2 items + shipping, and i would have had to wait a week or so.

I actually used nu finish and it doesn't meet the manuf. claims. No car wax will last longer than 6 months unless you don't drive the car. Nu finish is supposed to last one year but it comes of in about 1 week. I drive my car through country roads and that really puts good waxes to the test. Best wax I have ever used is zymol which is still going strong on my car after 2 track days and frequent country road rides. I advise you to stick to meguiars/zaino or get a basic zymol wax.

| NuFinish is old tech when it comes to paint protection these days. It's been around for quite awhile - there are newer and better off the shelf products out there like the new stuff from Meguiars in particular. Personally, I still like my Zaino - I dabble in the newer items from time to time on my other car, but I keep going back to Z for the toys *L*. Some recent pics: ![]()

The DuPont paint finishes book describes that as "D.O.I." "Distinction of Image" or how much reflection and the clarity of the object in the surface. I'm a big fan of mega DOI.
