Smile New Paint and Upholstery

Cruzer goes into the paint shop monday to get the hood and left fender painted ( just getting rid of rock dings etc) They are going to repair the front spoiler split for no charge
On the 15th it goes in for seats and door panel work we are adding red inserts to give the car a little character and extra padding in the seats.
Will try to get some pictures when it is done.
I haven't had the best of luck posting pic's here but will try.

I usually upload my pics to photobucket.com (it'll resize automatically to 800x600). I then copy the IMG link and paste it. I don't know if this method saves SLKWorld server some bandwidth or not.

It should save them some bandwidth as well as space, that's my prefer method.

Cruzer, get something like this for the interior, it's the new sports pkg, will match your mars red prefectly.

Like the red stiching and the belts won't have those but the middle of the seats will be red and the area behind the armrest on the door panels will be red also and they are going to add one half inch of padding to the seats

GREAT MOD. The red seat inserts and door panels will make a big difference. Not to slight anyone, including my wife's SLK, but that touch of red makes a big difference. My SLK 55 has the red and black interior and it's the right combination with just the right amount of red accent.

Cruzer, Whats the name of the upholstery shop doin the seats. Im dealin with a guy in CA on factory identical 99 seat reupholstery BLK/SALSA adding the Merc Star to headrest, red double stitching, adding foam to bolsters and bottom, plus door panels. Total estimate $700 installed plus shipping seats CA to NC. He is also providing an extra hide in salsa for me to cover console brake handle etc. You folks out there have many shops to choose from, unlike here.

Its going to look good , Doug 700 is quiet a good price for interior, It will look terrific too as Maroon is such a classy colour and less flashy than red.

Yea, I agree but Mama wants the red(Salsa) so I am havin this car redone red. The SLK32 I am trying to buy now will be mine and it will get the burgundy treatment inside. Gotta keep Mama happy, she makes life worthwhile.

Ahh Okay Doug, The 32 will certainley make you happy because its got a supercharger and very easy to modify with good gains with just an ecu upgrade, drop in filters and pulley's.

Heck man Im tickled with the 230, but after listening to Bryan and Don's 55's, I am havin second thoughts about the 32. I may need a 55 fix to survive. We will see what happens...Storm Red 55 AMG all options Burgundy and black interior... I want it now...

Scott passed along the hug We are going to try to get down there this summer -- might have a run with the Xfires down that way waiting for the info on that hookup -- it may be a longer run from San Diego up to Santa Barbara , Solvang area --- we'll have to see how that works out.
We will post pic's when the Cruzer is done
It's at the body / paint shop this week -- info hood and right front fender repaint = 900.00 ( they are also gluing and reinforcing the lower front bumper for free ) They remove the body parts sand repair(dings/rock chips ) paint and clear coat
The upholstery = 1100.00 The seats on it have the air bags in them and they have to move the seat heaters so they work properly with the new padding and they have to be sure not to harm the airscarfs.
The shop is a small one thats been here since 1964.
All the work should be done on the 19th of June --- Jo say's it's my Father Day and b-day present for the next 5 years.
Sorry for the long post -- just trying to answer all question
