Blob Eliminator by Langka for stone chip repair

With the so called new nanotechnology coating on the R171. I've read that it's more vulnerable to stone chips.

Has anyone had experience with this product from autosportcatalog.com, item no. 25179? It's called the Blob Eliminator by Langka and is used in conjuction with the touch-up paint from the manufacturer. There are before and after pictures and a short video clip at the website.

I had a quick search on this, but couldn't find any non-affiliated reports. Here's one where the guy describes applying it differently than the instructions. Although it is over a number of days.

I have a couple of small stone chips but dont care and I am even very afraid to touch my Paint job it costed me ALOT!

The last 3 digits seem to be correct. 723 is the color code for pewter.

Those two I know are correct, I think they try to match it as accurate as they can, the pen is very easy to apply. I'm a happy customer.

Ynot, do you have any pictures before/after application ? I seen a couple of new stone chips on mine, and it makes me sick ....

I used to build plastic model kit, with paint + varnish applied with airspray, with light sand paper 10 000 or 20 000 grade.
I'm wondering if it can not be used on the car, as soon as i can find the proper paint (although i'am not convinced to take this risk...)

Or maybe i can give a try on one of your car guys ?

Michel, if the stone chips are less than 2mm (diameter), then a pointed #0 or #00 brush should work. Do not use the brush that came with the paint bottle from MB. Just build up the paint in layers instead of trying to fill the defect all in one application.

This is different from using the airbrush on models as the stone chips are deeper. I, too, like to build plastic models but have slacked off, perhaps in a few months.

Michel, I mainly do 1/35 scale armored vehicles. I may have built 10 so far (over the last 25 years -- slow worker

) and have about 30 still in the box waiting....

Weathering job is beautiful ..

For my part, it is 1/12 or 1/6 bikes or car (mainly from tamiya) , with additional photo etched part and extra details (wires, carbon decals, ...).

And i'm agree with you ... So many kits, and not enough time ......
