Default Rain X with rain sensor?

I've used Rain X on all my previous cars. I'm wondering if it can be used with on the SLK with the rain sensing windshield? Any tips?

Thanks,
Michael

Personally i don't like using products like Rain X but if you find them OK then thats your call.

The sensor itself is shielded under the glass so it wont be damaged by the product but the effect the stuff has on the rain droplets on the screen could confuse the sensor so it refuses to wipe or wipes at the wrong speed because it is receiving incorrect info on the amount of rain on the screen.

If you do want to use it my advice would be drive in wet weather without the product note the operation of the wipers then apply it and repeat the test check how they behave if its the same or better and you want to continue using Rain X then your call if the performance degrades then i would stop using it.
