| I was just washing my car today after maybe a month b/c it was raining and snowing constantly this month. So I was doing the same thing, washed the car, wheels, the wheels were dirtier than normal + spots on them, so I left them somewhat dirty then dried them and start getting my metal polish to rub my rims. But as I was rubbing those lips (not visible spots) and inner wall (visible black spots), the spots aren't going away! I was like no matter how many times i rub them... those spots weren't going away! omg, just cause i got lazy, now my rims are ruined... I was just washing it 8am in the morning today (last minute b/c i had a flight at 2 today)... I am afraid that those spots will stay, and I am gonna be away for 3 weeks!... Does anyone know how may I use to try getting rid of those dirty spots? and I should do it asap right? or it might eat up my chrome even more? Thanks |

| Sorry to hear about your wheels, like all chrome lip wheels, it's should be washed every few wheels, if you don't have time as least spray it with a hose to get rid of the brake dust and dirt from the lips. I would try to spray it with wheel cleaner and let it soak for a bit then try to buff it out. It's chrome so it should buff out unless it's damage then you have to send it back to get it re-finished. Here's what DCR recommend. Care for your wheels Never allow brake dust to accumulate on the wheels for an extended period of time. Use wheel cleaners specifically formulated for cleaning delicate aluminum wheels and never apply harsh chemicals or abrasives to the finish. Allow the wheels to cool to room temperature before cleaning. Use cold water to rinse the wheels first, then apply the cleaning formula and brush the surface with a clean soft brush. Dry the wheels off with a clean 100% cotton towel and apply a thin even coat of high grade wax to protect the finish and enhance the surface reflectivity.
