| Just fitted hid kit, all done. works fine when engine turned off, once turned on engine ecu kicks up fuss cos the lower power it tells the the lights are out. then causes the bulbs to flickers etc. i know i need to go to the dealers to get the head lights changed to xenon = present. but my fogs are doing th same as the head lights... is there option for fog lights, or does the xenon = present turn of all checks for power rating, therefore wont give me error with fogs. |

| I think that the Dealer needs to use the SDS to turn on the xenon but I'm sure someone else will chime in with a more definitive answer. |

| Yeah, it takes Star Diagnose to set the xenon=present setting. There are lots of independents that have access to SDS, so the dealers are not your only option. If you have a good relationship with your dealer, they usually will do it for free. Never heard of flickering fogs - but that does not mean it's not related, and in any event you need to have the setting changed to keep from frying your new lights. |

| You might need a 58 reg car SCN coded but i've not had to do this myself so i'm not sure, if its needs an SCN its a dealer only job, if it still has the option then the DAS itself will be enough and its dealer or very good indy.
