| Hello to all. I'm new to the forum and the SLK230 Kompressor. A great little car so far. 2000 model. 90k miles. Having a little trouble with the a/c & heater fan today. My spouse turned the vent on today and now the fan stays on all the time even with the key out. Just checked it again several hours later in the garage and it still runs. I pulled the fuse so it wouldn't run the bqattery down. I saw in the manual about it can run for 30 minutes if you push the rest button but its been much longer than the specified 30 minutes. Neee some help. Anybody have this problem before? |

| Hi all, first post, new member, and I apologise for digging up an older thread, but it might help someone... I joined up a few weeks ago, prior to buying my 2000 320 R170(I am in the UK). Mine was doing exactly the same. Fan staying on all the time and I was having to pull the fuse (#36) to stop it. Anyway, I read the advice on this thread about the regulator and bought one for £35 off ebay. Its an easy DIY, I followed directions here (I will insert link when my post count is over 5 - it just got rejected) The pictures of where the regulator is located aren't obvious, but if you drop the black plastic panel under the glovebox and then open the blower box, its in there. Only needed a posidrive screwdriver to drop the plastic cover and and a T15 torx driver to unscrew the unit. Swap the wires over and done I now have proper working blower Ady |
