| I just filled up the tank and reset the trip OD and the avg since reset miles. I've driven 43 miles which is shown on the "since reset" The trip OD shows 624 miles!! Why? This is the 2nd time that I'm noticing that the trip OD is showing significantly higher miles then the car has actually been driven. The same thing happend on my last tank of gas. Any answers? |

| Let me just check i have this right. The Since Start and Since Reset pages both work correctly but the main trip display below the master total ODO is messed up. Is the main ODO correct not adding extra miles to the total, if so its software/hardware in the cluster because it calculates the mileage from speed pluses on CAN

| Correct. Since start and since reset are working fine. The trip ODO below the master is way off. I didn't look to see if the milage on the master is going up 43 or 624 miles since filling up. I will need to check tonight when I get home. I will say that I have been going into the cluster service area to view the volts and the oil level. would this impact the trip milage ODO reading? Software#'s 1904 0044 2204 if I remember correctly. Thanks again, Michael |

| It would be worth checking the master because if its outta whack you could have a lot of extra miles on your car and that will effect the service system and the value at sale because the car will be showing miles that have not been put on the chassis. Its safe in the service menu so long as you don't enter the service settings just using it to view UBatt and the oil is fine, but don't tell the dealer you have been using it.

| Same issue again happened last night. Trip ODO had 7.1 miles on it. I went into the service menu and afterwards the trip ODO now says 331.X miles. I never reset anything I was just in looking to see what services were going to be needed next time (service C in 2213 miles). Why is the trip ODO changing? The Since Reset the Master ODO were uneffected. I wrote down the info in the srvc menu but I left it at home today. Thanks, Michael |

| Is it OK if you stay out of the service menu? I would think its a software issue on the cluster, has the dealer flashed or replaced it?

| The trip ODO does seem to work fine as long as I don't go into the service area. I can look at volts, oil level and vin buy if I go to service that's when the trip ODO gets goofy. I never reset anything when I'm in there. I just look and then back out. The dealer has updated my ECU with a flash a few months back because I would hit the rev limiter in S mode. And another flash for command but nothing for the cluster. Are you suggesting that I may need a flash for the cluster? Any other thoughts? Thanks again. -Michael |

| I go in and out of service menu's all day long as do the techs after every service we do and that is not normal behavior. I would try having the dealer flash the cluster with the latest software because thats what it sounds like to me
