| the homelink is not part of the mirror as far as I know. My homelink is actuall behind the mirror, closer to the windshield glass then my buttons to turn my interior lights on. |

| Thats bull**** i can assure you. I happen to be an MB lead tech myself and yes on some MY's the connection cable for power is not installed but you can tap the 12V right next to it for power and thats all it requires i know the EU 06 has the wire already not sure about US versions but as i say easy fix It will work honest!

| Dan, I would like also to add it. It seems to be easy. But do you have any idea of the price (for a 2005 SLK 55, and european frequencies) ?

| So help me not be confused here. Are we talking about the 3 buttons that are just above the rearview mirror (on the r170)? I'll wait for your answer to pose my question so I don't get OT.

| Great! Than here's my question. I am not able to get my "home link" to learn my garage door opener. Here's the rub, I know my operators manual says it only works on US model openers. I obviously have a german opener and can't get it to learn. Is there anyway around this?
